A Sponsored Research Agreement is an agreement between a sponsor and a researcher (PI) that clearly outlines a work agreement and a set of deliverables in exchange for which the PI receives support for a specified period of time.
Caltech has many mutually beneficial research relationships with outside companies, ranging from one-time individual projects to larger, multi-PI projects. Contacts and initial negotiations with industry are managed through OTTCP, and the final sponsored research agreements are processed by the Office of Sponsored Research.
For more information on the research taking place at Caltech, visit our academic division websites. For more information about sponsored research at Caltech, please fill out our Corporate Engagement Survey, or contact a member of the OTTCP team.
