Caltech-Intellectual Ventures Faculty Select Innovation Development Awards
The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) entered into a multi-year agreement with Intellectual Ventures (IV) to promote innovation. One component of this relationship is the Faculty Select Innovation Development Awards program.
IV seeks to support innovative research and patentable inventions that enable new solutions in fields including materials, photonics, wireless, electronics and software. Awards typically cover one year and funding amounts range from $75,000 to $150,000.

- Hyuck Choo, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering
- Azita Emami-Neyestanak, Assitant Professor of Electrical Engineering
- Shuki Bruck, Gordon and Betty Moore Professor of Computation and Neural Systems & Electrical Engineering
- Alain Martin, Professor of Computer Science
- Oskar Painter, Professor of Applied Physics
